SCOLIOSIS

What is Scoliosis?

Scoliosis is a sideways curvature of the spine. This is uneven spine growth can be from genetics or poor postural habits that builds up over time. There are various levels of severity, which means that most of the time, patients will have to ‘watch and wait’ to see the progress of the condition as he/she grow older.

What are the symptoms?

Although it is usually detected in adolescents, adults can also experience symptoms like uneven waist or shoulder. You might also feel that the body is leaning more to one side.

This will then prevent the curvature from getting worse and eventually improve the structure.

Neck pain

Causes of Neck Pain

There are many reasons why you experience pain in the neck, also known as the cervical spine. Even though most causes of neck pain are not serious, they can still interfere with your daily activities or work. Some causes include:

  • Muscle tightness

  • Muscle spasm

Bone and joint related

  • Whiplash or impact to the neck can also cause tissue damage or muscle strains. This is due to the sudden movements that stretch or tear the ligaments and tendons around the area.
